When you send an enquiry. The contact form asks for your name, your email address and a description of what you want to run. A phone number and a subject are optional. That is the whole of it — there are no hidden fields and nothing is added from anywhere else.

When you simply visit. Our web server keeps ordinary access logs: the address your request came from, the page asked for, the time and your browser’s user-agent string. Every web server keeps these and they are what makes it possible to find a fault or an attack.

Analytics. This site runs Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies and reports to Google how the site is used. It tells us which pages are read and roughly where readers are; it does not tell us who you are.

Cookies we set ourselves. One: a session cookie, so the contact form can tell that the page you are submitting is the page we gave you. It carries no personal information and expires when you close the browser.

To answer you. An enquiry is stored so that it is not lost between arriving and being read, and it is emailed to us so that somebody sees it.

To run the website. Server logs exist to keep the site working and to investigate abuse.

To understand what the site is doing. Analytics tells us which pages people actually read, so the ones nobody reads can be fixed or removed.

We do not build profiles, we do not score you, and we do not use anything you send us to target advertising at you.

Nobody buys this data from us, because we do not sell it, rent it or trade it. There is no mailing list attached to the contact form and you will not be added to one.

Two categories of company necessarily see some of it: the hosting provider that runs this website and its email, and Google, through Analytics.

If you become a client, the advertising platforms we run your campaigns on — Google, Meta and the others listed on this site — process the campaign data under their own terms and their own privacy policies, which are theirs and not ours.

We will also disclose information where the law requires it of us.

Enquiries are kept while they are useful — an unanswered one until it is answered, and a client’s while we work together and for as long afterwards as tax and accounting rules require records to be held.

You can ask us to delete an enquiry sooner and we will, unless we are required to keep it.

Server logs and analytics are kept on the retention schedules of the hosting provider and of Google Analytics respectively.

Tell us the email address or the phone number you used so we can find the right record. We will not ask you for anything beyond that.

To opt out of Google Analytics across every site that uses it, Google publishes a browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Your browser’s own settings will also block the cookies it sets.

The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the form is encrypted between your browser and our server.

Enquiries are held in the website’s database, reachable only through a password-protected admin area.

No website can promise perfect security, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we can say is that we do not collect more than we need, which is the only protection that never fails.

This is a service sold to businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

If what we do changes, this page changes with it. It is the current version that applies, so it is worth a look if you have not read it in a while.
